The calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your web browser. The appliances, wattages and other numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.
What we collect
We don't offer accounts, we don't run an email list, and we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. If we add privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics or an email list later, we'll update this page first.
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. Email is handled by our email provider (Google). We don't add you to any list or share your message.
Do Not Track
We don't track you across other websites, so we don't respond to browser Do Not Track signals differently; there is nothing to turn off.
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies. Third-party sites you visit from our links may set cookies, as described below.
Affiliate links and third-party tracking
Some pages contain affiliate links, labeled "(paid link)". If you click one, you leave our site, and the retailer or affiliate network (for example, a generator or battery retailer, or Amazon if we join its program) may set or read cookies, pixels or similar technologies in your browser, and may collect information directly from you, so that it can credit us with a commission. Those companies handle that data under their own privacy policies, not ours. We don't receive your name, payment details, or what you bought beyond aggregate commission reports. You can block or delete third-party cookies in your browser settings; opt-out choices offered by those companies are described in their own privacy notices.
Children
This site is intended for adult homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
